Elizabeth and Julio tie the Knot

Maybe I should have titled this Julio and Elizabeth tie the bow.  These 2 were so in love.  You can just see the way Elizabeth is smitten by her man.  Many of the photos I chose for this BLOG post show emotion.  Whether, it was a bride putting on her dress for the first time, a father “giving his daughter  away” as she walked down the aisle, a grooms first glance at the new ring on his finger, or possibly a first dance with his the grooms mom as the guests look on, it maybe the ring bearer proudly enjoying his job and responsibility, or the two love birds having a moment under a tree or beneath her vail.  So many special moments in a short amount of time.  I think this is the exciting & challenging part of being a wedding photographer.  Each wedding I do I want to capture all the emotions in the room.  I am definitely getting better at anticipating those moments, however most of the time it just seems to be the luck of the draw… What a great wedding and I wish these two a life full of happiness!

Timree Paint Party

Last week my husband and I hosted my middle daughter’s  birthday party at Timree’s Paint studios in Newport Beach.  It was so great.  Timree taught the girls step by step how free hand,  paint a gum ball machine.  WOW!  14 little ones under 6 years old … very impressed.  The kids were focused and engaged the entire time.  After completing their paintings she continued to keep their attention going by using mini white boards and showing them how to sketch “girlie” items such as a high-heel and ball gowns.  The girls were focused and LOVING every minute at the studio and so was I !   We fed them cupcakes, clean up was minimal and we were out the door in 2 hours 15 minutes.  A DREAM birthday party!  I would HIGHLY recommend an event in her studios.

Choi family of 7

Always love photographing this gorgeous family.  Last time I shot their family they had 1 bundle of love in the oven.  Now that baby girl is here and running around just like her brother’s and sisters.  Can’t believe how fast time is going.  Thanks for letting me capture the wonderful spirt of your gorgeous family.

Baby Ellie and Big Brother Zane….

I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous family last fall and now they are a family of 4  plus a dog.  I loved moms response.  She said” we left the dog home and brought the baby instead.”   These 2 parents have their hands full for now.  On our little photo shoot Ellie was a gem every moment of our time together.  And having the park right over my shoulder really helped Zane smile BIG for the camera.  Momma Tiff really wanted some pic’s of Ellie with her eyes open… well sure enough ….in the last 20 snaps of my camera… Ellie decided to wake up to see us all.    I am so happy to get my hands on this cutie pie.  Makes me want another… Ha ha!  Don’t worry honey…  Only for a moment.

Bruce Family and 2 sets of twins

This sweet family was wanting to snap an updated family photo.  I was honored to make that happen for them.  An added bonus was that Scott’s sister was visiting from Texas and I was able to capture some photos of her and her girls as well.  Scott, Stacy and I have known each other since the Irvine, College Park days.  In fact in High School Mr. Bruce was my Fresh-Soph volleyball coach.  And if I remember right Stacy and I were on his team.  I vaguely remember our uniforms of French braids, hawaiian shirts, Reebok Hi-tops, knee pads, and rolled up sleeves.      Scott’s wife… well teacher and mother of 4.  Where  do I begin?  First of all , any mom who can have 2 sets of twins is a very special person.  Yes that’s right….. I said” two sets of twins.”   Lexi is her only daughter .  And being a mom of 3 daughters I am so glad Kristan at least got to experience 1 girl.  There were so many fun shots… however I just loved some of the candids I got of the boys torturing one another between poses.  I can so relate to the love/hate Lexi must feel.  This photo opportunity definitely brought me back to my life growing up with my own 2 brothers.  Oh wow how I longed to have a sister.  This was a great day for photos.  A bit cool (ok freezing) but worth every moment.  Thanks Bruce Family !
